Uploaded this evening to his Slowblog site, Ryan Burleson shares this short mix of selections. Completely vinyl only, and not completely dance music minded.
Shouts to Ryan for sharing this one for the grown-up, late-night set.

A crew you have probably been sleeping on, Atlanta duo and Embassy Recordings artists Broodlings stepped out on one of their first live performances at the monthly Hunger music event at Atlanta’s 529.
Undeniably the set of the evening (respect to everybody else who played), the two worked through classic 140 bpm favorites including oft overlooked DMZ and Scuba material before ramping it up into some ridiculous footwork blends that had the crowd entranced.
Check beneath the fold for the stream / download info, and the tracklisting!

First things first, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to readers of this site old and new. It has been an interesting year for me both on and off this site.
During the beginning of the year I was unable to focus full attention to the site, however I cannot thank people enough for allowing to essentially ‘pick up where we left off‘ and continuing to support the site as things has smoothed out a bit recently.
Continue beneath the fold for more gratitude, looking forward for the site, and an exclusive live dj mix of mine for you to download or stream.
In recognition of XLR8R’s coverage of Helix in their Bubblin Up article today, I felt it only proper to share a video.
Enjoy this equally food-related clip of one icnt.mx’s favorites in his short cameo appearance on Man vs. Food‘s Savannah episode, highlighting his brilliant dance prowess to those who have not had the fortunately opportunity to witness Helix live.
Also be sure to check out one of the first Helix DJ mixes widely circulated posted here in 2010 as a part of the HeatATL Podcast Series, as well as a more recent performance at the monthly event HUNGER in Atlanta
I have uploaded the recording of yesterday’s Late Nite Tip broadcast on Sub.FM hosted by Mite and myself. Thanks all who tuned in, the full broadcast and tracklist are available beneath the fold.
Distal was on tour in New England this week so you get selections from the two of us, and a bit more explorations in the 140 realm this week.
Check out the full broadcast for exclusive forthcoming Embassy Recordings material from Mak, Clicks & Whistles as well as some unheard sounds from Beaumont, Grievous Angel, Chrissy Murderbot and more.
One of my favorites in the grime scene, Royal-T recently put together a mix for the Mishka Blog Keep Watch podcast series.
Royal-T, despite his young age, has already done releases on Butterz, No Hats No Hoods, Boogaloo City, and Rinse Recordings. He’s also done official remixes for the likes of Katy B and Wiley, as well as produced extensively for Grime MC P Money.

A tribute mix from thugstep ambassador DJ Nappy, honoring the memory of the late Matthew “Gimpmode” Fox – one of the first people in Atlanta to embrace dubstep and push hard to make it an accepted style for Atlanta club-goers.
With a talent for blending hard-edged dubstep with southern ‘trap’ style hip-hop, Gimpmode’s legacy can be heard in Atlanta DJs such as Mayhem and Heroes and Villains as well as the continuing work of groups like Atlanta Dubstep.
Thanks to DJ Nappy for recording this and Atlanta Dubstep on the original mention of this tribute to Gimpmode.
Download and stream Rustie’s Essential Mix, broadcast on BBC Radio 1 on April 7, 2012.
Rustie is the production alias of Glasgow-based Russel Whyte, who’s sound embraces the sharpness of southern rap. Very exciting to hear production like Wiz Khalifa and productions like Rustie’s as a contrast to recent Essential Mix selections.
Keep your ears peeled for sounds from Baauer as well as the highly acclaimed Regis Chillbin single from EPROM, on the Rwina Records label

Joe Muggs, writer for The Arts Desk and VeryVeryMuch posted a new mix titled ‘Sizzling Bangers‘ yesterday highlighting some music by site favorites Funkystepz, and the highly acclaimed collaboration between Silkie, Distal, and Mite titled “There’s Something Wrong With Daisy” forthcoming on Joe Muggs newly formed label ‘Sound of the Cosmos.’
Muggs’ mix features Mite’s Daisy’s From Chicago Edit of the forthcoming track, which is instantly recognizable thanks to a well used edit of a Bassment Jaxx classic. Much thanks to Joe for making this one available and downloadable and for an ace choice of tracks, the full list of which are available on the Soundcloud page
Update: This mix is now available for download!
Royal-T, the Butterz affiliated grime producer featured frequently here on icnt.mx performed this weekend as a part of the Butterz / Hardrive event at Cable.
The crew at Blatantly Blunt recently made Royal-T’s set from March 24, 2012 at Cable available to stream over on the group’s soundcloud page.
Listen to the set embedded below, hosted by the notorious Logan Sama. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear this one is available for download but hopefully stay up on the Blatantly Blunt Soundcloud for a moment.
Barry Lynn, aka ‘Boxcutter,’ one of the more underrated names in bass music, and producer behind one of my favorite Planet µ releases ever in Arecibo Message recently compiled a mix of classic ambient selections in a podcast for the 20 Jazz Funk Greats Podcast.
Martyn recently contributed a 2 hour selection for BBC Radio One’s Essential Mix program, listen to the stream and check out the tracklist.
