Recently I had the pleasure of sharing a b2b set alongside longtime Atlanta DJ and friend Double Nil for the Hunger ATL monthly at 529 in EAV. All over the map on this one as we go from house, a brief visit of dubstep, and a handful of rap/trap/whatever the name for southern influenced rap is this week.
Double Nil, alongside Mayhem, host of Service, a weekly event in Atlanta at the Soundtable highlighting the headier side of 130-140bpm music paired with dinner specials from the kitchen of one of the nation’s more highly regarded gastropubs. Obviously a match made in heaven for me.

In preparation for his forthcoming EP Up Wind on upcoming label JASS, Savannah-based artist Cc (Chris Powers) has prepared this near-hour long mix.
I have been fortunate to catch Cc live at his monthly event Hunger ATL, debuting his own sounds as well as residents Divine Interface and REKChampa, and spotlighting some favorite southern talent of icnt.mx with excellent showings from Helix, and Broodlings.

New sounds from the man of a million names, Atlanta’s Daniel Disaster (aka Quadrant, aka DJ Megan Foxxx, aka Heroes and Villains) partners with his long-time local cohort BLKKMORRIS (aka C. Will) under the name Vavlt Boyz.
Releasing their second in the series of “Luxury Tap” mixtapes, this time in partnership with clothing label Black Scale, for a mix titled ‘Good Hunting‘
Much respect to Daniel for using his status in Atlanta to bring some more refined sounds to his crowd, which frequently is a bit rough around the edges.

Posted to Skream’s Soundcloud page, some lighter vibes from the legend in this 20 minute mix of Future Garage selections, available for stream and download:

This one originally hit Soundcloud earlier but quickly ran through it’s download allotment but we have a mirror of the download available here exclusively on icnt.mx

Thanks to Antares for giving me the heads up to this alert from the guys over at FACT, referencing this cache of over 100 live recordings of drum and bass legend LTJ Bukem collected by 175bpm.pl
I have been a long-time fan of Bukem for obvious reasons, his mixing is near unmatched by his peers, and have often cited this proficiency as a key influence in bringing me into the world of djing.
Atlanta friends should be doubly excited and use this as a nice warm-up to get ready for LTJ Bukem’s appearance at Terminal West in July.

Paul Rose revisits his SCB moniker for this week’s Chris Liebing’s curated CLR podcast series.
Originally the SCB project was conceived as an antidote to the characteristic broken beats of the Scuba sound, as was shown on the first SCB release, a remix of Scuba’s own Hard Boiled taken from the album A Mutual Antipathy in 2008.[*]
