New sounds on Hessle Audio from the enigmatic Bandshell, who’s productions we highlighted on icnt.mx previously with his free EP on bandcamp.
Bandshell’s Hessle debut will feature four tracks very much in line with the aesthetic we have come to expect from Hessle Audio; rich in bass, complex percussion, and undeniably ‘experimental’ without being obnoxiously so.
Previews of the release are available via Soundcloud, and the label has given a release date of June 25, 2012.
A1) Dust March
A2) Rise ‘Em
B2) Dog Sweater
Tipped off to this one from spending too much time on Twitter, an exciting looking ambient mix from dnb / autonomic pioneer James Clements, “ASC.”
Courtesy of the ‘Musik Aus Strom’ website and radio show which until now I was unfamiliar with – a German based eldoradio student radio station.
Be sure not only to check out the ASC mix below but also an excellent looking mix from the show’s host ‘SMA’ highlighting some excellent selections from the Hessle Audio and HotFlush camps, that garner a lot of attention on this site – two absolute ace track selections here.
Full tracklists for both are located beneath the fold.

Russian site Gimme5 sits down with Hessle Audio co-founder, and one of the more amazing DJs of 2010 BenUFO. In addition to co-foudning and running Hessle Audio, Ben also runs a weekly show on RinseFM that is typically a deep exploration of sounds past and present, and always mixed impeccably.
Definitely check out the interview on their site and be sure to download or stream the mix on Mixcloud; BenUFO’s prowess as a selector is unrivaled.
As we quickly approach the end of 2010, much discussion will likely be given toward the “best of” the year. It is safe to assume that most readers of this site would put at least one product of the massively prolific Ramandanman on any conceivable ‘Top 10′ list.
This morning we are graced with two excellent mixes from the Hessle Audio co-founder, first in the form of his appearance on BBC Radio 1‘s appearance and interview on Benji B’s radio show. The second mix, posted on Ramadanman’s Twitter early this morning is an RBMA hosted stream of Ben UFO b2b Ramadanman at Fabric.
Tracklisting for the Benji B set available beneath the fold.

An absolutely brilliant article from the Always Everything blog outlining the Leeds collective of Ben UFO, Ramadanman, and Pangaea that has become the ground-breaking and genre defining Hessle Audio label. The mark these three have left on the modern bass music scene is clearly undeniable; their Sub.FM radio show, Rufage Radio was picked up recently by RinseFM for obvious reasons, Resident Advisor has featured them as label of the month, and their productions and dj sets are always top notch. Additionally, they are some of the most humble and courteous people I have encountered.
Read History of Hessle Audio, regardless of how much you already know about these guys for a wonderful look at music that never fails to defy expectations.
Hessle Audio broadcasts this evening on RinseFM at 2300GMT (6PM ET) featuring the dj work of Ben UFO, Ramadanman, and guest Shortstuff of the Blunted Robots crew.

Pitchfork has an excellent write-up today on one of the most innovative producers in bass music right now. Be sure to click on over and get some knowledge on James Blake.
Blake’s sounds have been a main-stay in my DJ sets and radio shows for a while now and from the looks of things following his latest Hessle Audio release “The Bells Sketch EP,” he will remain there for quite some time.
